Big News from One Love Studio
Hello friends,
I can't believe how fast time is flying!
Just over a year ago, I was recovering from back surgery. If you saw me in early 2025, you know I was pretty miserable. Thankfully, modern medicine helped me, and today I'm pain-free and back doing what I love—creating cool hair and hanging out with all of the people who make One Love such a great place to be! Whether you've been seeing me for years or recently discovered One Love Studio when Reagan joined, thank you. Every appointment, every referral, and every product you've trusted us to recommend has reminded us just how much you believe in what we're building, and that's what has helped us grow into what we are today.
As we continue to grow, our philosophy will remain:

One Love has never been about cramming more appointments into a day. It's about creating a place where you can slow down, feel genuinely cared for, and leave feeling refreshed. We believe beautiful hair should never come at the expense of healthy hair, and that taking the time to listen, educate, and create something truly personalized will always matter more than rushing through an overbooked schedule. Hair is more than a great colour or a fresh haircut. It's about feeling confident in your personal style, taking time for yourself, and the connection we build in our time together.

Big News!
This September, One Love Studio will officially expand into two private studios. Another studio opened up across the hallway, and we jumped at the chance to take it. One of the things we hear most often is how much you appreciate the quiet, relaxed atmosphere. As we grow, it's important to us that we don't lose that feeling. Adding a second private studio gives us more flexibility while preserving the calm, one-on-one experience we value so much.
Help Us Welcome Heather!
This fall, I'm so happy to welcome Heather Cosier to One Love Studio. Heather has over 10 years of experience and is an incredibly talented artist and educator. She was also the very first stylist to welcome me into the Union community back in 2022, so it feels especially meaningful to be able to return the favour as she joins us after maternity leave. What I appreciate most about Heather isn't just her talent—it's the way she approaches people. She's warm, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in helping others feel confident.
You'll leave with beautiful hair, but you'll probably leave feeling inspired too. Heather has an adventurous spirit, a contagious energy, and she's one of those people who somehow makes you feel a little cooler just by spending time with her. Heather is so happy to be back behind the chair, and you can feel her genuine passion for what she does.

A Quick Word About Reagan
Reagan saved me.
I honestly believe her decision to join One Love Studio played a huge part in allowing me to heal from my back pain journey. Her support gave me a chance to create the kind of workspace and culture I've always envisioned and want to share with other talented stylists. I truly don't think One Love would be where it is today without her. So many of you have welcomed her so warmly, trusted her with your hair, and recommended her to the people you care about. Seeing her demand continue to grow has been one of the most rewarding parts of this past year, and I’m so grateful for the way you've supported her.
As we begin thinking about fall, vacations, and the holiday season, don't forget to reserve your time with Reagan if you'd like to see her before the end of the year.

A Personal Update
Many of you have asked how my back is, I'm so happy to say that I'm feeling really great! Being pain-free behind the chair has reminded me just how much I love connecting with you every day, and I'm excited to be offering haircut appointments this fall with improved availability. If it's been a while since we've had a chance to catch up, I'd genuinely love to see you again. Even if Reagan or Heather are your regular stylist, you're always welcome to book a haircut with me in between your colour appointments.
Adding the second studio will give me the flexibility to spend more time behind the chair again, so thank you for your patience, encouragement, and feedback over the past year as I've navigated all of these changes. I definitely learned a few lessons about the quirks of technology along the way!
My fall Vagaro schedule will remain offline while we finish preparing the new studio and get everything ready for Heather's arrival. Until my schedule opens, please log into the Vagaro app and add yourself to my waitlist for the timeframe you'd like to visit. I'll be keeping an eye on who's waiting, and as soon as my availability is released, you'll be among the first to know.

There are a few features in the app that many people don't realize are available, and they can make scheduling much easier.
Join the Waitlist
If your preferred day, time, or stylist isn't currently available, don't assume there aren't any opportunities.
Availability is always changing. Appointments move, schedules evolve, and we occasionally open additional hours. If you're hoping for a particular timeframe, it's always worth joining the waitlist—even if today it looks fully booked.
Joining the waitlist tells Vagaro exactly what you're looking for so it can notify you whenever a matching appointment becomes available.
A few things to keep in mind:
Appointments are offered on a first come, first served basis.
Notifications are sent through the Vagaro app, so make sure your notifications are turned on.
Receiving a notification doesn't automatically reserve the appointment. When you're notified, you'll still need to open the app and REQUEST the appointment before it can be confirmed.
Keeping your notifications enabled gives you the best chance of securing an appointment when something becomes available.
Keep Your Contact Information Current
Your Vagaro account is connected to the email address and mobile number we have in our files. When creating your login, be sure to use that same email address so your appointment history and profile are linked correctly. If you're not sure which email we have on file, just send us a text and we'll happily confirm it for you. While you're in the app, take a moment to make sure your contact information, payment details, and notifications are all up to date so you don't miss appointment opportunities or important studio updates. You’ll need your credit card on file in the encrypted app to request appointments, having it stored will streamline waitlist requests so you don’t miss out. If you've recently changed your phone number or email address, please let us know so we can update your profile.
Shop for Products Anytime
Need to refresh your favourite products before your next appointment? Running low on something and don't want to forget to grab it at your next visit? You can browse our retail selection and purchase products for pickup through Vagaro anytime—even if you don't have an upcoming appointment. We'll let you know when your order is ready, or if we need to bring something in for you. Ordering through the app makes pickup quick, easy, and seamless.
